In recent years, larger, more elaborate inflatable mattresses (known as ‘air beds’ in the English-speaking part of the UK) have become available for guest use or as permanent beds in bedrooms. Temporary airbeds are available in sizes ranging from double to king size, but few guest bed manufacturers offer king-size beds as most guest airbeds are sold outside the USA, and king-size mattresses are not standard.
